Reflecting on my life each week reveals fascinating patterns and shifts brought about by different responsibilities. Nearly two decades ago, I left Florida, seeking solace in the exploration of new cities, states, stages, and sounds.
Establishing a homebase in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, I quickly found myself drawn to another adventure in San Diego…Performing at a venue called Winston's Beach Club. After the concert I decided to stay in San Diego for a few months.
During this time, I was invited to perform at an event called Burning Man, an extraordinary week long event unlike any other a city of art, music, and wonder, devoid of many constraints and bursting with new communities focused on self-expression, and self-reliance. At the time there was over 47,000 participants.
The event's attendance nearly has doubled in subsequent years, reaching over 73,000 last year.
What truly captivated me about Burning Man was the abundance of music and opportunities to express myself through performance.
As I ponder these vivid memories, I am reminded of the profound impact each experience has had on shaping my journey.
The realization that growth often emerges from stepping into the unknown, embracing new challenges, and connecting with kindred spirits fills me with a sense of wonder and gratitude.
Life to me is a series of adventures, each one leading me closer to the core of my being, where creativity and connection intertwine to paint the canvas of my existence.
